COMENTARIS A "PLAERDEMAVIDA ENTRE ELS TROBADORS I LA CELESTINA", DE LLUÍS FORNÉS

Plaerdemavida is a character very well blended by Joanot Martorell. She is the central strength which bring the lovers, Tirant and Carmesina, to consume the love. And this is so, because as soon as they finish making love she drops out of sight. Dorothy Severin exposes a very interesting idea about La Celestina. She says that there is a sexual behaviour wich can be said a lesbic one. Following this idea, in Plaerdemavida we also found lesbic behaviours, ménage a trois and voyerisme. The character uses the language perfectly. It depends on the situation. When she is a servant of Carmesina she speaks with some superficiality; ironic and amusing words came to her lips. But when she is a lady in Montàgata, she speaks with softness and in a barroc style. Plaerdemavida, -and the whole Tirant lo Blanc- is situated between the Troubadours and Spanish cultures.
